FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CryoPen® is suitable for many clients, but not all lesions or skin types are appropriate for cryotherapy. Suitability depends on lesion type, location, medical history and skin tone. We confirm this during consultation.

Yes. Temporary or longer-lasting pigmentation change can occur, particularly in darker skin tones or in certain body areas. We will discuss risk and suitability during your consultation.

Clients with more melanin-rich skin can have a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation after cryotherapy. We will assess this carefully and may recommend an alternative treatment where needed.

We can advise on a case-by-case basis. Age, lesion type and consent requirements will be discussed at consultation.

Most clients experience a brief cold sensation. Depending on the area, there may be a short sharp sting or mild discomfort that settles quickly.

Discomfort is usually mild and brief, but sensitivity varies by area and individual. We will talk you through what to expect before we begin.

Scarring is uncommon, but any skin treatment carries some risk, especially if the area is picked or if aftercare advice is not followed. We will provide clear aftercare guidance to support healing.

Healing time varies by lesion type and location. Many lesions darken and resolve over the following days to weeks. We will advise expected timeframes during consultation.

Some lesions respond well in one session, while others may require repeat treatment depending on size, depth and type.

Once successfully removed, the treated lesion typically does not return, but new lesions can form over time depending on your skin and underlying causes.

Most clients continue normal activities, but you may need to protect the area, avoid friction, and follow aftercare advice to reduce irritation and support healing.

A blister can occur in some cases. We will give you clear aftercare instructions. Avoid picking and keep the area clean. If you are concerned, contact the clinic for advice.

Follow-up depends on the lesion and how it heals. If the lesion does not resolve fully or if you have multiple areas treated, we may recommend a review appointment.
